Instagram Downloader
Save Instagram Reels, IGTV and video posts as MP4 files.
Paste a story link or a username to save the photos and videos from a public account's active story reel. Stories expire after 24 hours, so only what is currently live can be fetched. This tool needs our server, and it only ever reaches accounts that are already public — private accounts are never accessible.
Stories are often shared expecting they will disappear. Saving one for yourself is fine; reposting someone else’s needs their permission.

Four steps, no account, nothing uploaded.
Open the story, tap the three dots and choose Copy link. Or simply type the account's username — you do not need a link at all.
Put the link or username into the box and press Fetch Story. The account must be public; private accounts return an error by design.
Every active frame appears as a thumbnail. Videos are marked with a play badge so you can tell them apart from photos at a glance.
Each frame has its own download button, and Download All packs the whole reel into a single ZIP file built in your browser.
Built so your files never have to trust a server.
Enter a username and every currently active story frame appears in one grid, photos and videos together, each with its own download button.
Files are passed through exactly as Instagram serves them. Nothing is re-encoded or resized, and no branding is added.
Nothing to install and no sign-up. You never give us — or anyone else — your Instagram login.
The tool never signs in to Instagram, so it can only ever reach stories that are already visible to everyone.
Everything people ask about the Instagram Story Downloader.
No. Instagram only records a view when the story is opened while signed in to an account, and this tool never signs in. That also means it is worth being thoughtful about how you use it: view receipts exist because people rely on knowing who is watching, and stepping around that to keep tabs on someone is not what this is for. Saving your own stories, keeping a copy of a brand's campaign, or archiving a public figure's posts are the sensible uses.
No, and that is deliberate rather than a gap we plan to close. A private account's stories are only visible to approved followers. Because this tool never authenticates as anyone, it cannot see anything that is not already public to the whole internet. If an account is private, the lookup simply fails.
Instagram stories expire 24 hours after they are posted, so there is often nothing live to fetch. The same message appears if the username does not exist, if the account is private, or if the account simply has not posted a story today.
Yes. Instagram does not permit a web page to read story media directly, so what you type is sent to our server, which looks the reel up and streams the files back to you. We do not keep the username, the media, or any record of what you fetched. Most tools on this site still run entirely on your own device — only the downloaders do not.
Yes. Download All packs every frame into a single ZIP file, which is assembled in your browser rather than on our server. Each frame also has its own button if you only want one or two.
It is free, with no account and no daily cap. A modest per-visitor rate limit stops automated scripts using the service as free bandwidth, but ordinary use will never reach it.
Saving a story for your own reference is one thing; republishing it is another. The person who posted it holds the copyright, and a story is often shared with an expectation that it will disappear. If you intend to post someone else's story anywhere, ask them first.
