Privacy Policy

The short version

Every Toolifyer tool runs entirely inside your web browser. The files you open and the text you type are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us. We cannot see them, store them, analyse them or share them, because we never receive them.

One exception: the TikTok Downloader

Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser except one. TikTok does not allow a web page to read its video files directly, so the TikTok Downloader cannot work that way. When you use it:

• The link you paste is sent to our server.
• Our server asks a third-party lookup service (tikwm.com) for the media address. Only the TikTok link is shared with it — nothing about you.
• The video or audio is then streamed through our server to your browser. It is never written to disk on our side, and your IP address is never exposed to TikTok's servers.
• We do not keep the link, the file, or any record of what you looked up. Standard web server logs apply, as described below.

If you would rather nothing left your device at all, simply do not use that one tool. The rest of the site is unaffected.

Files and content you process

When you select a file, your browser reads it into local memory using standard web APIs. All conversion, merging, formatting and encoding happens in that tab. Results are handed back to you as a download generated on your device. Closing or reloading the page discards everything from memory. We operate no upload endpoint for tool content.

Information we do process

Running a website necessarily involves some data:

• Server logs. Our host records standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp and referrer — for security and troubleshooting. These logs contain no file or tool content, and are retained only as long as operationally necessary.
• Local storage. Two things may be saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device: toolifyer-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance, and toolifyer-word-counter-draft, which auto-saves the text you type into the Word Counter so a reload does not lose your work. Neither is an identifier and neither is ever sent to us. Pressing Clear in the Word Counter deletes the saved draft immediately, as does clearing your browser data.
• No tracking cookies. We set no advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not build a profile of you across visits.

Third parties

Our pages load no third-party scripts, fonts, trackers or advertising networks. Every asset is served from this domain. A Content Security Policy is enforced on every page that prevents scripts from contacting any external host — which also means a page on this site is technically incapable of sending your files elsewhere.

Children

Our tools are general-purpose utilities and are not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal information through them, we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA grant you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. In practice we hold no account data and no file content, so there is very little to act on — but if you believe we hold information relating to you, you can contact us and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how data is handled will be noted prominently. Keeping everything on your device is the foundation of the product, not a policy detail we expect to revise.
