How to use the Instagram Photo Downloader
Four steps, no account, nothing uploaded.
-
Copy the post link
Open the photo post, tap the three dots and choose Copy link. On the web, copy the address from the bar — it should contain /p/.
-
Paste it and fetch
Put the link in the box and press Fetch Photo. The post must be public; private accounts return an error by design.
-
Check what came back
A single photo shows as one image. A carousel shows every frame in a numbered grid so you can see the full set before saving.
-
Save what you want
Each image has its own download button, and Download All packs the whole carousel into one ZIP file.
Why use this tool
Built so your files never have to trust a server.
Whole carousels, not just the first slide
Multi-photo posts come back as a grid with every frame. Take one, or pack the whole set into a single ZIP built in your browser.
Full resolution, nothing re-encoded
Images pass through exactly as Instagram stores them, so you get the size the poster uploaded with no extra compression.
No app and no account
Paste a link and press one button. Nothing to install, no sign-up, and no daily download cap.
Public posts only
The tool never signs in to Instagram, so it can only ever reach posts already visible to everyone.
Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask about the Instagram Photo Downloader.
Does it download all the photos in a carousel?
Yes. Instagram posts can hold up to twenty images, and every one is fetched and shown in a numbered grid. Download All packs the complete set into a single ZIP, assembled in your browser rather than on our server, and each frame also has its own button if you only want one.
What resolution do I get?
Whatever Instagram stores, which is typically up to 1080 pixels on the longest edge. Nothing is re-encoded, resized or recompressed on the way through, so the file you save is byte-for-byte the one Instagram serves to its own app.
Can I download photos from a private account?
No, and that is deliberate. A private account's posts are only visible to approved followers. This tool never authenticates as anyone, so it can only reach what is already public to the whole internet.
Does this tool send my data to a server?
Yes. Instagram does not permit a web page to read its media directly, so the link you paste is sent to our server, which resolves the image addresses and streams the files back to you. We keep nothing — not the link, not the images, and no record of what you fetched.
Why did my link fail?
The usual causes are a link to a video-only post, a private account, a deleted post, or a link to a profile rather than a specific post. Copy the link again from the post itself and retry.
Is it free?
Yes, with no account and no daily cap. A modest per-visitor rate limit stops automated scripts using the service as free bandwidth, but ordinary use will never reach it.
Can I repost the photos I download?
Saving a photo for your own reference is one thing; republishing it is another. The person who posted it holds the copyright, and downloading it does not transfer any rights to you. If you plan to publish someone else's photo anywhere, ask them first and credit them.
