TikTok Story Downloader

Paste a TikTok story link to save it. Photo stories come back as a grid you can download individually or all at once as a ZIP; video stories download as a watermark-free MP4. Either way you can also take the background sound as an MP3. Like our other TikTok tool, this one needs our server, because TikTok will not let a web page read its media directly.

Paste a tiktok.com/@username profile link, a story link, or just type a TikTok username.

How to use the TikTok Story Downloader

Four steps, no account, nothing uploaded.

  1. Copy the story link

Open the story in the TikTok app, tap Share, then Copy link. On the web, copy the address from the address bar. Short vm.tiktok.com links work too.

  2. Paste it and fetch

Paste the link into the box and press Fetch Story. The post must be public — private and friends-only stories cannot be reached.

  3. Pick what you want

A photo story shows every frame in a grid, each with its own download button. A video story shows a single preview with one download button.

  4. Save it

Use Download All Images to get a ZIP of the whole set, or take the frames one at a time. Download Audio saves the backing track as an MP3.

Why use this tool

Built so your files never have to trust a server.

Photo stories, not just video

Picture posts come back as a grid of full-resolution frames. Save one, or take the whole set as a single ZIP file.

No watermark, nothing added

Video stories download in their clean form, and we never stamp our own branding onto anything you save.

Keep the sound too

Photo stories still carry a backing track. You can download it separately as an MP3 whether or not you take the images.

We only handle the link

Our server fetches the media and passes it straight to you. Nothing is stored, and your IP is never exposed to TikTok.

Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask about the TikTok Story Downloader.

What is the difference between a video story and a photo story?

TikTok posts come in two shapes. A video story is a single moving clip. A photo story — sometimes called a slideshow or carousel — is a set of still images that advance one at a time over a backing track. This tool detects which one your link points to and shows the matching layout: a grid of frames for photos, a single preview for video.

Can I download all the slides at once?

Yes. Press Download All Images and every frame is packed into one ZIP file, built in your browser rather than on our server. Each image also has its own download button if you only want one or two.

Are the images full resolution?

They are the same files TikTok serves to its own app, so they are as large as the creator uploaded. Nothing is re-encoded, resized or compressed on the way through, which means no quality is lost.

Does this tool send my data to a server?

Yes. TikTok does not permit a web page to read its media directly, so the link you paste is sent to our server, which looks up the media address and streams the files back to you. We do not keep the link, the media, or any record of what you fetched. Every tool on this site apart from our two TikTok tools still runs entirely on your own device.

Is it free and are there limits?

It is free, with no account and no daily cap. A modest per-visitor rate limit stops automated scripts from using the service as free bandwidth, but normal use will never reach it.

Why did my story link fail?

The usual causes are a private or friends-only account, a story that has expired or been deleted, a link to a profile rather than a specific post, or the lookup service being briefly rate-limited. Copy the share link again straight from the app and retry in a moment.

Can I repost what I download?

Downloading for your own offline viewing is generally accepted. Reposting someone else's photos or video as your own is not: the creator holds the copyright, and saving a file without the watermark does not change who owns it. If you intend to publish anything, ask the creator first and credit them.
