How to use the Facebook Photo Downloader

  1. Open the photo itself

    Click the picture so it opens in Facebook's viewer, rather than copying the link to the whole feed post — the viewer URL identifies the image directly.

  2. Copy the link

    On desktop, copy the address from your browser bar. On mobile, tap the three dots and choose Copy link.

  3. Paste it and fetch

    Put the link in the box and press Fetch Photo. A single picture shows as one card; an album shows every image in a grid.

  4. Save what you want

    Each image has its own download button, and Download All packs the whole album into one ZIP file.

Can it download a whole album at once?

Yes. When a post holds several photos, every one is fetched and shown in a numbered grid. Download All packs the complete set into a single ZIP, assembled in your browser rather than on our server, and each picture also has its own button.

What resolution do I get?

The largest version Facebook stores for that image. Nothing is resized or recompressed on the way through, so the file you save is the one Facebook itself would serve at full size. Facebook does compress uploads, so the original the poster uploaded may have been larger.

Can I download photos from private posts?

No. Private posts and closed-group albums are only visible to the people they were shared with, and this tool never authenticates as anyone. It can only reach photos already public to the whole internet.

Does this tool send my data to a server?

Yes. Facebook does not permit a web page to read its media directly, so the link you paste is sent to our server, which resolves the image addresses and streams the files back to you. We keep nothing.

Why did my link fail?

The most common cause is copying the link to the feed post rather than to the photo itself. Click the picture first so it opens in Facebook's viewer, then copy that address. Private posts and deleted photos also return an error.

Is it free?

Yes, with no account and nothing to install. A modest per-visitor rate limit applies so automated scripts cannot use the service as free bandwidth.

Can I reuse the photos I download?

Saving a photo for your own reference is one thing; republishing it is another. Whoever took the picture holds the copyright, and downloading it does not transfer any rights. If you plan to publish someone else's photo, ask them first.
